Wavetrac Limited Slip Differential – Porsche PDK / G100 Applications
The Wavetrac limited slip differential is a torque-biasing helical LSD engineered to improve traction, stability, and drive out of corners while retaining smooth, predictable behaviour for fast road and track use.
Unlike conventional clutch-type LSDs, the Wavetrac uses a precision helical gear arrangement with a patented internal preload device. This design allows the differential to continue biasing torque even when one wheel becomes lightly or momentarily unloaded—conditions where traditional helical differentials can behave like an open diff.
The result is consistent drive, improved rear-axle stability under power, and reduced intervention from PSM systems, without the maintenance requirements or noise associated with plated differentials.
