Wavetrac Helical LSD – Porsche 915-43 (911 / 930)
The Wavetrac limited slip differential is a torque-biasing helical gear LSD designed to improve traction, stability, and power delivery in Porsche 915-43 transmissions. It provides smooth, progressive locking under load without the noise, chatter, or servicing requirements of plate-type differentials.
Unlike conventional helical LSDs, Wavetrac incorporates a patented wave-cam preload mechanism that maintains drive when one wheel becomes lightly loaded, such as during kerb strikes, crests, or uneven surfaces. This avoids the momentary loss of drive common to traditional gear-type differentials.
