Product Description

The BMC FB156/01 Performance Air Filter is a direct replacement upgrade for the factory air filter used in multiple Porsche 911 (996 and early 997) models. Designed using motorsport-derived filtration technology, this high-flow panel filter increases airflow while maintaining excellent filtration efficiency.

Unlike disposable paper filters, the BMC filter uses a multi-layered oiled cotton gauze filtration system, allowing significantly improved air permeability and filtration down to 7 microns, compared with the typical 10 microns of OEM paper filters.

The filter is manufactured using BMC’s Full Moulding process, producing a single-piece frame with no glued joints. This design increases durability and ensures a perfect seal within the original airbox.

Pre-oiled and ready to install, the FB156/01 simply replaces the standard air filter inside the factory intake housing, making it one of the easiest upgrades for improving airflow and intake efficiency.

Because it is washable and reusable, the BMC filter can last the lifetime of the vehicle when maintained using the appropriate BMC cleaning kit.
