The AST Suspension 5200 2-Way Adjustable Inverted Coilover Kit is a high-performance suspension solution developed for Porsche 997 Carrera 4, Carrera 4S and Turbo models. Designed for fast road and track use, the 5200 series delivers exceptional control, consistency and driver feedback while maintaining reliability for demanding conditions.
Featuring an inverted monotube front strut design, the AST 5200 system improves rigidity and reduces unsprung weight, resulting in sharper steering response and increased front-end stability under high load. Independent rebound and compression adjustment allows precise suspension tuning to suit road, track, or competition use, making this kit ideal for enthusiasts seeking maximum performance and adjustability.
Hand-built in the Netherlands, AST suspension systems are renowned for engineering quality, durability and motorsport-proven performance.

-
Upgrading: AST 5100/5200/5300 “5000-series” dampers are built modularly and can be upgraded, but what’s involved depends on which step you’re taking and your exact Porsche chassis/kit spec.
-
5100 → 5200 or 5300: Generally possible by sending the dampers to an authorized AST rebuild/upgrade center to add the required internals and remote reservoirs (and associated hardware). This “upgrade path” is a commonly stated feature of the AST 5000-series modular design.
-
5200 → 5300: Typically the straightforward upgrade (adding the extra compression circuit/adjustment hardware). Many dealers describe the 5200 as a good “start here, upgrade later” option for that reason.

PASM Vehicles: Vehicles fitted with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will require coding to prevent faults & error messages & correctly disable the system.
As an alternative option, where access to coding is not possible, a PASM cancellation kit can be purchased through us at RW Performance. If you are unsure and need any technical advice, please contact a member of the team!
We offer professional installation services directly in the Rennworks workshop, where your product will be expertly fitted and fully set up for optimal performance. To book an installation appointment, simply contact us and we’ll be happy to arrange a time that suits you.
